EXCLUSIVE: Two productions from Redeeming Features on sales company’s Cannes slate.

Truffle Pictures is launching two films at Cannes from Redeeming Features, the new venture run by ex-Metrodome MD Jezz Vernon and Nate Wiseman, Ten Count and The Heiress.

Ten Count is a documentary feature, currently in post-production, which breaks the code of silence around sports stars at the top of their game suffering from depression when pressure get too high. We follow ex Premiership footballer Leon McKenzie who after a series of injuries became depressed and attempted to take his life. Saved by his father, he got his life back on track, training as a middleweight boxer and eventually fighting his first championship in 2016. In this heartfelt documentary, featuring intimate interviews with a range of stars including Frank Bruno, McKenzie challenges the sports industry for being purely fixated on physical performance and gives a voice to fellow athletes. Wiseman and Vernon are producing.

The Heiress is an intelligent supernatural horror focused on the centuries old conflict between religion and science. We follow two cousins haunted by the female entity Lillith, that has helped and

hampered the family’s female line for 4 generations. Vernon and Wiseman also produce alongside Danny Prescott. The movie is currently in casting stage with filming set for September 2017.

Vernon said “we’re pleased to bring these two unique projects to market through Truffle Pictures, carrying on a long professional relationship with Caroline Couret-Delègue”

Redeeming Features is a London and Oslo based production company set up by Wiseman in 2015. Vernon joined as Co-MD in late 2016 after Redeeming features acquired a majority share in his Port Royal venture.

Launched in October 2016, Truffle Pictures is a London-based international sales agency and production company. The company provides a one stop shop for its producers and distributors. Fostering a collaborative environment, we shepherd films from development to deal signing all the while shaping their promotion and release strategies. Truffle Pictures aims to bring six to eight titles to market each year covering a wide range of genres and budgets.
